December 19 - Blue Christmas Service - 7:00 p.m.

For many of us – Christmas really will be a wonderful time, but there are others who aren’t up for a holly jolly Christmas. Dealing with the death of a loved one, facing life after divorce or separation, coping with the loss of a job, living with dis-ease, and many other circumstances make holiday gatherings and joviality painful for many people in our community. Unfortunately, sometimes it appears that sadness and grief are unwelcomed emotions during the holidays, and we can find ourselves attempting to spread holiday cheer to those who really just need comfort, and understanding.   Can we allow those around us to experience, not just joy at Christmastime, but sadness and anger also? Can we give them space to grieve, and dare I say, even encourage them in their grief -the way we encourage each other in our happiness and in our joy?

This holiday season, as we take time to share Christmas joy and cheer, let us also take time, with those who need it, to have a ‘blue Christmas.’

Christmas Eve @ 7:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve will be celebrated.  All are welcome.
