Thurs., June 13-Fri., June 14 & Mon., June 24- Photo Directory Picture Appointments Continue

We are investing in a new photo directory. This is a great tool for Pastor Christina and the office, as well as a welcoming resource for new families. It also will link older generations with the younger ones, and put faces to the names we hear on a daily basis. It is very important to include as many members and affiliates as we can, so that this directory becomes a beautiful piece of history, and a valuable resource. The dates for photos are June 10-14 from 1:30-8:30 p.m. Please be pro-active and give Debbie a call at work or by email funitedoffice@execulink.com to schedule your appointment time. Each photographed family will receive a FREE directory and FREE 8”x10” colour portrait. You will also have an opportunity to purchase extra photos. The session (photo taking & choosing your picture(s)) will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Please help us make this directory as complete as possible…young and old, singles, couples and families, families with kids and families that include extended families! We look forward to hearing from you. Sign-ups will continue before/after church Sundays in the Narthex.

NOTE: Due to the popularity of this event, we have added another day for photo appointments. Monday, June 24 from 1:30-8:30 p.m. has opened up for those who have not made an appointment yet.

Thurs., June 13 - Pastor Christina will be serving Communion at North Lambton Lodge @ 10:00 a.m.

Sat., June 15 - Embracing Change with Audrey Stringer

Most life transitions begin with a story of losses, loss of a role, loss of a person, a place, and a sense of where you fit in the world. We will never be able to stop change from happening to us but we can learn how to stop fighting change. With a positive attitude we can tap into our inner resources, as we go through critical life events and emerge with strength, health and happiness forever changed.   Audrey Stringer is a Bereavement Counsellor, motivational speaker and the author of 3 books-Get Over it!, Scaling the Mountain of Grief and Buddy’s Life Lessons.

Wed., June 19 - Movie Night "BREAKTHROUGH"

The Finance Committee is sponsoring the movie “Breakthrough” on Wed., June 19 at 7:30 p.m. BREAKTHROUGH is based on the inspirational true story of one mother’s unfaltering love in the face of impossible odds. When Joyce Smith’s adopted son John falls through an icy Missouri lake, all hope seems lost. But as John lies lifeless, Joyce refuses to give up. Her steadfast belief inspires those around her to continue to pray for John’s recovery, even in the face of every case history and scientific prediction. From producer DeVon Franklin (Miracles from Heaven) and adapted for the screen by Grant Nieporte (Seven Pounds) from Joyce Smith’s own book, BREAKTHROUGH is an enthralling reminder that faith and love can create a mountain of hope, and sometimes even a miracle. Please join us. Cash donations at door.
