Choir practice. For the month of September we will meet on Wednesdays in the downstairs hall. Beginning in October we will meet Thursdays at 7:15 in the Sanctuary. All levels of skill are encouraged to come and sing for the fun of it and the glory of God.

Pastor Christina Crawford will begin her appointment with us. She will be introduced Sept. 2 and will lead her first service Sept. 9. Please join us in welcoming her to our congregation.
Pastor Christina will perform a dedication service to the Memorial Tree in memory of Donald & Dorothy Creasey.

Children are encouraged to bring their backpack to church for a blessing by Pastor Christina. Then the CE committee is hosting the annual Twin Pines Wagon Ride and Weiner Roast at Twin Pines, 8169 Kennedy Line, Thedford. Wagon ride at 1:00 pm followed by weiner roast at the fire pit. All are welcome.
A piping hot breakfast and great fellowship are both served up @ 8:00 a.m.
Our Unified Board will meet @ 7:15 p.m. Rev. Carey Wagner will attend. Let's make Pastor Christina feel welcome, as she learns the ropes of our governing body.
Preparations are in full swing for the UCW Fall Bazaar to be held here on Fri., Sept. 28. Please offer your services for the making of pies etc. Contact Liz Richards email@example.com or call and leave a message 786-2845.
Donations for the Toonie Table will also be gladly accepted. Boxes will be put in the Fellowship/Library room. The Bake Table convenors would welcome donations of homemade goodies too. Thank you to all who contribute in any way to the success of this wonderful event.

UCW Meeting - Our regular meeting will be held at 1:00 p.m. Diane Hales and daughter Sarah VanKessel will share news of their trip to London, England to witness the marriage of Prince Harry & Megan...through a commoners eyes. All ladies welcome.
Our first meeting will be October 2nd at 6:00 p.m. The Kineto Theatre in Forest is sponsoring Historic Movie Theatre listings for the month of September and first week of October. We are going to see “The Jersey Boys” at 8:00 p.m. with pizza in our church basement at 6:00 p.m. Please sign up in the Narthex for the number of pieces of pizza you would like. Cost of the movie is $6 and pizza slices are $2 a slice.

“God Bless the Broken Road”: The Finance Committee is sponsoring Movie Night on Mon., Oct. 8 & Thurs., Oct. 11 @ 7:30 p.m. Free-will offering. The story tells of a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan and struggles to raise their young daughter in his absence. It is based on the hit Rascal Flatts' song "God Bless the Broken Road”. The film combines elements of faith, country music, and stock car racing while paying tribute to those who serve in the Military. Seating first-come-first served. Doors open at 6:45.
